The Inn is located in a precious corner of the Valley of Zamanzas, in the border of the Ebro river, to fifty meters of the mill that gives name it. During hundreds of years it was the place of work of the millers, and now, after a well-taken care of restoration, we have turned it a rest place. For the restoration of the buildings, one has considered all those aspects that cause that the inn totally is integrated in the means that surround it, agreed in construction equipments with the own ones of the zone, wood of oak and limestone . The property consists of three buildings, the old house, today Inn, where are the rooms, the dining room and the kitchen. The old oven, today office. And the wonderful Mill, today recovered and fixed, continues being the Mill, although now already nobody brings wheat to grind, but you will be able to see its operation.

Like the construction of the Inn, we have tried to dress it in its interior in furniture and old and recovered elements. In the ground floor, the hall, with a small library, specialized in books of routes, birds and ethnography of the region, takes step to the dining room chimney and with capacity for twelve people, or eighteen to us in the case of groups. The elm tree stairs give access to the first plant in that are the six rooms, to the being all type duplex, enters first a private hall and in the top plant it is the dormitory and the bath with bathtub, this top plant is with an attic and counts on a great window in the tile roof that contributes to light and romanticism in the nights with moon. We have rooms with double beds and others with two beds, in anyone of the two cases the beds ample and are dressed in sheets and bedspread cotton. All the rooms have the possibility of installing extra beds, reason why the capacity and distribution can be varied, consult us for groups or families. In the outside there is a porch and an ample garden next to the Ebro river, as well as a gigantic walnut that coolness in summer gives us.

MEAL SERVICES

Breakfasts: (normally 09:00- 11:00, but if you like to see birds or walk, consult us othres hours)
Every day is different, and composed of various foods, milk, juices, fruit, cheese, homemade baked, toast, butter, extra virgin olive oil, cereals, eggs , jams, coffee, tee, cacao...

DINNER (20:30-2100):

Guests at our house can enjoy our cooking based on local produce from the garden and the nearby areas, and always exquisitely prepared.

Our specialities include cream of courgette, tomato soup, goat's cheese "au gratin", chilled cheese and quince jelly, desserts, and home-baked goods for breakfast.

Apart from having dinner or breakfast in the comfortable dining room, in summer you can enjoy dinner and breakfast outdoors, making your stay with us all the more enjoyable.

Rafting

Rafting and canoening are organised by a company called UR2000 based in Pesquera de Ebro (10 km).

Horse riding

The Ailanes riding stables im 4 km away in Ailanes de Zamanzas. They offer classes and various rides in the surrounding area.

Birdwatching

The situation of the Inn allows to have access to different natural spaces in which mainly they are most abundant the rock birds, this can be stated very well in all the natural space of the Ebro river and the Rudrón river Canyons, also impressive forests of Oak exist and has in which the forest birds abound, and to see aquatic birds nothing better than areas like the river Ebro Damm.

Several are the trips that we can make in search of birds.

Looking for Birds of the forests

Great oak and beech tree forests have to hold a important communities of forest birds, the birds most showy we found to a variety of Tits , Great Tit, Blue Tit, Crested Tit, Coal Tit, Marsh Tit, Long-tailed Tit, another very present group of birds in the forests are the Woodpeckers ones, between which it emphasizes the Black Woodpecker and the Middle spotted Woodpecker, without discarding the possibility of seeing the Great spotted Woodpecker, Lesser spotted Woodpecker and Wryneck.
Other significant birds are the Eurasian Treecreeper, Short-toed Treecreeper , and Nuthatch, Goshawk, Sparrowhawk, Thrushes, Warblers, Finches…

By the Canyons of Ebro River

One of the most showy formation geographic is the formed one by the different canyons that the Ebro river has formed in the limestone.
These canyons, with many vertical walls of high altitude, filled with hollows and shelves, provide many birds, the ideal place to settle.
Between the most representative birds they are the great birds, Vultures and Eagles, Griffon Vulture, Egyptian Vulture, Golden Eagle, Bonelli´s Eagle.
Other birds that use these walls are Peregrine Falcon, Raven, Jackdaw, Red-billed Chough, Yellow-billed Chough, Alpine Swift, Crag Martin….Also, the riparian forests , has a great wealth of birds, to which we added those that properly uses the water. Dipper, Common Kingfisher, Wagtails, Warblers, Iberian Chiffchaff, Grey Heron, Great Cormorant, Golden Oriole......

By the Moors

The great moors that are located to the south of the river Ebro, conform a unique landscape and exists the presence of birds related to areas of low vegetation and agricultural zones, Harriers, Kestrels, Larks, Finches, Buntings, Shrikes, Bustards...

Wetlands

In the Burgos province we can find a series of wetlands, water reservoirs, abandoned gravel pit , irrigation pools, natural lagoons and rivers, conform these spaces where the water birds find the habitat suitable.
We can find Grebes, Ducks, Herons, Cormorants, Gulls, Storks, Rails
Also it is in these places where the migration of the birds appears with greater assiduity, being able to observe several migrate birds, between which they emphasize flocks of Geese and Spoonbill and Waders.

In the Inn we have designed different routes and places for the observation of birds, or to combine the walking with the birdwatching, with maps, practical advice and list of birds.

So far these routes are self-guided, but if your interest is greater, or you want to see some special species we could make some guided, not being able to be the greater group of four people, and always previous booking.

There are several routes with varying levels of dificulty and with various things to see, including noticeable orography by the Ebro, all of them crossing natural spaces and singular towns.

I en av de vakreste delene av Naturparken Cañones del Ebro, mellom elven Ebro og fjellene ligger den rurale gjestegården Posada Molino del Canto.
Eiendommen har 3 bygninger, - det opprinnelige huset, idag omgjort til gjestegård.
Det gamle ildstedet, idag kontorer
Den flotte mel møllen som gir navn til gjestegårde som også er blitt total renovert.

KARAKTERISTIKK
Gjestegården har i første etasje en stor salong og spisesal.
I andre etasje ligger 6 store suiter - alle i to etasjer: I første etasje en privat salong og i andre etasje et stort kvistrom med vindu i taket og et fullt utstyrt moderne bad.
Ute har det en stor møblert terrasse og hage ved elven Ebro, samt en stor gammel eik som gir skygge.
